Mr. and Mrs. Marty Haupt of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelby Lynn Haupt, to Daniel James Koch. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Koch Sr. of Altenburg, Mo.

Shelby is a graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She is a grounds chief with facilities management at Southeast.
