Grantham-Nierenberg

Tom and Donna Grantham of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelly K. Grantham, to Joel Nierenberg. He is the son of Sam and Bashi Nierenberg of Englewood, N.J.

Grantham is a 1993 graduate of Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, Minn. She received a bachelor of arts in dance from the Dance Conservatory of Barat College at DePaul University in 1997. She is director of PeriChild Program at Peridance Center in New York City.

Nierenberg is a 1994 graduate of Frisch High School in Paramus, N.Y. He received an associate of arts degree in humanities and social science from The State University of New York-Rockland and Suffern, in 1996, and a degree in culinary management and culinary arts from The Institute of Culinary Education in New York in 2002. He is a salesman with MetroTouch Systems Inc. in Fort Lee, N.J.

An Oct. 22 wedding is planned in Mount Tremper, N.Y.
