Grabel-Jeans

Fred and Kathy Grabel of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Elaine Grabel, to Matthew Todd Jeans, both of O'Fallon, Mo. He is the son of James and Elizabeth Jeans of St. Albans, Mo.

Grabel is a 1998 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in nutrition and fitness and certification in athletic training from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. She is employed by Sports Enhancement Group in Chesterfield, Mo., is an athletic trainer for CBC High School in Town and Country, Mo., and teaches figure skating in Chesterfield.

Jeans is a 1994 graduate of Lafayette High School, and received a bachelor of arts degree in liberal arts from the University of Missouri. He is pursuing a master's degree in arts and teaching at Webster University. He is employed by Marquette Hockey Club, coaches the JV team and is a substitute teacher with Fort Zumwalt School District.

An outdoor wedding is planned May 20 at the Grabel home.
