Gillard - Morton

The Revs. Grant and Nancy Gillard of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Barbara Lee Anne Gillard, to Jeremy James Morton, both of Kansas City, Kan. He is the son of James and Bridget Morton of Kirksville, Mo.

Gillard is a 2007 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in economics from Truman State University in Kirksville. She is employed at Citizens Bank N.A. in Lenexa, Kan.

Morton is a 2004 graduate of Kirksville High School. He received a bachelor of fine arts in print making from Truman State in 2012. He is self-employed and a drummer in the Tom Sauk band.

A Sept. 8 wedding is planned at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
