Giles-Hemmer

Mr. and Mrs. David B. Giles of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Kay Giles, to Nicholas Todd Hemmer. He is the son of Richard and Barbara Hemmer of Hillsboro, Mo., and Loren and Denise Neely of Arnold, Mo.

Giles is a 1995 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in 1999. She received a master of arts degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in May 2001. She is evaluation coordinator with Bootheel Healthy Start in Sikeston, Mo.

Hemmer is a 1993 graduate of Northwest High School in House Springs, Mo. He received a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology from Southeast University in 2000, and is pursuing a master of science degree in industrial management at the university.

An Oct. 20 wedding is planned at First Christian Church.
