Frey-Whalen

Ann Frey of Cape Girardeau announces the engagement of her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Frey, to Bradley Whalen. He is the son of Gerry and Ann Whalen of Virden, Ill. Frey is also the daughter of the late Larry Frey.

Frey is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in advertising from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. She is employed at National Distribution Services in Chesterfield, Mo.

Whalen is a 2002 graduate of Virden High School, and attended Southeast. He is stationed with the U.S. Army in Fort Riley, Kan.

An Oct. 20 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral.
