Freeman-Poole

Dr. Michael R. and Lisa Freeman of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Freeman, to Joshua Poole. He is the son of Todd Poole of Cape Girardeau and Laura Dobbs of Memphis, Tenn. Freeman is also the daughter of the late Amy Earnest.

Freeman is a 2003 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is a senior at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in marketing. She is a copy and print associate at Staples.

Poole is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. He attended Linn Technical College at Linn, Mo., and Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Mo. He is a team leader at Jasper's, a nationally certified EMT-B, and a volunteer firefighter with East County Fire Protection District.

An Aug. 1 wedding is planned at Fort Morgan, Ala.
