Essner - Scroggins

Jerome and Beverly Essner of Scott City announce the engagement of their daughter, Renee C. Essner, to Matthew R. Scroggins. He is the son of Randy and Jeana Scroggins of Ash Grove, Mo., and Keith and Lisa Cole of St. Louis. Essner is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. Jerome and Beverly Essner of Scott City announce the engagement of their daughter, Renee C. Essner, to Matthew R. Scroggins. He is the son of Randy and Jeana Scroggins of Ash Grove, Mo., and Keith and Lisa Cole of St. Louis.

Essner is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. She received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She is a junior high teacher at Immaculate Conception School in Jackson.

Scroggins is a 2005 graduate of Affton High School in St. Louis. He expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University this month.
