Dorothy Carmer of Columbus, Ind., announces the engagement of her daughter, Cynthia Louise Essick, to Anthony Chance Neal, both of Jackson. He is the son of Cynthia Bartlett and the late Billy Neal of Huntsville, Ala. Essick is also the daughter of the late Marshall Carmer.
Essick is a training specialist with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
