ENGAGEMENTS: YOUNG-NEWTON

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds Young of Arlington, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Davis Young, to David Scott Newton. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Newton of Sikeston.

Young is a graduate of the Madeira School in Greenway, attended Mt. Vernon College in Washington, D.C., and received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from St. Louis University in 1992. She is vice president and chief financial officer at Old Dominion Enterprises Inc., headquartered in northern Virginia. She formerly worked at Louis Dreyfus Corp. in Sikeston.

Newton attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is a unit manager with the Schinnerer Group, a subsidiary of Marsh and McLennan in Chevy Chase, Md.

An October wedding is planned at the Navy Chapel in Washington, D.C.
