ENGAGEMENTS: VENEZIAN-HOWELL

Giulio and Jill Venezian of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Aleta Venezian of Arlington, Va., to Robert Samuel Howell. He is the son of David and Shari Howell of State College, Pa.

Venezian is a graduate of Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pa. She is employed by Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

Howell received a bachelor of science degree in engineering and a bachelor of arts degree in history from Swarthmore College, and a doctorate in microelectronic engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. He is employed by Northrop Grumman.

A May 2001 wedding is planned in Washington, D.C.
