Jack and Anne McDonough and Pat Sturm of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Anne Sturm, to Gregory Evan Welter. He is the son of Herbert and Janet Welter of Cape Girardeau. Sturm is also the daughter of the late Michael Sturm.

Sturm is a 1992 graduate of Central High School. She is employed at Buyer's Choice Auto Sales Inc. in Jackson, Mo.
