ENGAGEMENTS; SCHMID-PITTS

JACKSON, Mo. -- Tom and Kathy Schmid of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Renee Schmid, to Eric Jon Pitts, both of St. Louis. He is the son of David and Karen Pitts of Selah, Wash.

Schmid is a 1995 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Missouri Baptist College in St. Louis in 1999. She is employed in the graduate office at the college.

Pitts is a 1993 graduate of Selah High School. He is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in business administration at Missouri Baptist College. He is employed in the education department at the college.

An Aug. 12 wedding is planned at Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
