ENGAGEMENTS: SCARBROUGH-CARLTON

Wanda L. "Windy" and Jim B. Robins of Marble Hill, Mo., and Debbie and Ike Carlton of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their children, Windy T. Scarbrough and Derrick G. Carlton. Scarbrough is also the daughter of the late Richard Scarbrough.

Scarbrough is a 1990 graduate of Meadow Heights High School. She is an emergency medical dispatcher with Cape County Private Ambulance, and also works in children's services at Community Counseling Center.

Carlton is a 1993 graduate of Central High School. He received a license as an emergency medical technician in 1998, and is in the paramedic program at Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center. He is an emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter with East County Fire District and Gordonville District.

A Sept. 23 wedding is planned at First General Baptist Church.
