ENGAGEMENTS: MAYO-SAUERBRUNN

Sherry L. Mayo of Cape Girardeau announces the engagement of her daughter, Gloria Jean Mayo, to Darrin Kenneth Sauerbrunn. He is the son of Ken and Janice Sauerbrunn of Jackson, Mo.

Mayo is a 1994 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. She is teaching middle school special education at Scott City R-1 Schools in Scott City, Mo.

Sauerbrunn is a 1991 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast in 1995. He is a certified public accountant with Kerber, Eck, and Braeckel, LLP.

A Dec. 23 wedding is planned at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
