Jeffrey Lynn and Deborah Lois Maevers of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Callie Denean Maevers, to Trevor Earl Williams. He is the son of Jan and Buddy Newsom of Marston, Mo., and the late Terry Williams.

Maevers is a graduate of Jackson High School.

Williams is a graduate of New Madrid County Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is serving with the U.S. Navy in Pensacola, Fla.

A July 7 wedding is planned at St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
