ENGAGEMENTS: KURRE-HUME

Mr. and Mrs. David E. Kurre of St. Charles, formerly of the Cape Girardeau area, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Laurie Ann Kurre, to John Raymond Hume. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Hume of Kahoka.

Kurre is a 1992 graduate of St. Charles High School, and received a bachelor of music education degree from Central Missouri State University. She expects to receive a master's degree in music education this summer from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is teaching music part time at Hardin Middle School in St. Charles.

Hume is a 1990 graduate of Clark County High School in Kahoka, and received a bachelor of music education degree from Culver-Stockton College. He is director of bands at Highland High School in Ewing.

A July 15 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Kahoka.
