LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Norman and JoEllen Jansen of Leopold announce the engagement of their daughter, Denise Jansen, to Israel Shaffer. He is the son of Garry and Cindy Shaffer of Oran, Mo.

Jansen is a 1995 graduate of Leopold High School. She is employed in the Bollinger County Collector's Office.
