ENGAGEMENTS: HUMES-GRIFFITH

JACKSON -- Charles and Lucille Humes of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Cara Humes, to Brent Griffith, both of Fenton. He is the son of Robert Griffith and Ruby Lehman of Cape Girardeau.

Humes is a 1994 graduate of Jackson High School, and 1998 graduate of St. Louis University. She is a medical research technician at Washington University Medical School.

Griffith is a 1993 graduate of Central High School. He is a landscape designer at Ballwin Nursery.

A Sept. 9 wedding is planned at New Bethel Baptist Church in Jackson.
