ENGAGEMENTS: GARNER-AKERS

Bob and Ann Garner of Barnhart, Mo., and Charles and Carolyn Bradford of Goose Creek, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracey Lynn Garner, to Kevin Lance Akers, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Tom and Annabelle Akers of Marked Tree, Ark.

Garner is a 1993 graduate of B.B. Stall High School in Charleston, S.C. She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. She is human resource manager at OzArc Gas Equipment and Supply.

Akers is a 1995 graduate of Marked Tree High School, and attended Southeast University. He is employed at OzArc Gas Equipment and Supply.

A Sept. 23 wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.
