Marjorie Chartrand of Omaha, Neb., announces the engagement of her daughter, Ellen Theresa Chartrand, to Gregory Kyle Hutteger of Kirksville, Mo. He is the son of Lyle and Susan Hutteger of Cape Girardeau. Chartrand is also the daughter of the late Dr. Stephen Chartrand.

Chartrand received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from St. Louis University.

Hutteger is a graduate of Central High School, received a bachelor of science degree in biology from St. Louis University, and is a student at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

An Aug. 18 wedding is planned in Omaha.
