ENGAGEMENTS: BURGESS-BECHTOLD

Marvin and Marla Burgess of Willow Springs have announced the engagement of their daughter, Mendy Rae Burgess, to John William Bechtold. He is the son of Scott and Mary Bechtold of Cape Girardeau.

Burgess is a 1995 graduate of Willow Springs High School. She expects to graduate from Southeast Missouri State University in May, where she is majoring in pre-optometry.

Bechtold is a 1996 graduate of Central High School. He expects to graduate in May from Southeast University, where he is majoring in Spanish. He is employed at New Star Brokerage Service.

A July 1 wedding is planned at Lynwood Baptist Church.
