JACKSON -- Dan Braswell and Kathy and Billy Rodgers of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Braswell, to Scott Shrum. He is the son of Jim and Dinah Shrum of Brookport, Ill.

Braswell is a 1998 graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Ky. She is employed by Paducah Independent School System as a third grade teacher at McNabb Elementary in Paducah, Ky.

Shrum is a 1993 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale College of Engineering. He is employed by Paducah Water Works.

A June 24 wedding is planned at Trinity United Methodist Church in Paducah.
