STURDIVANT, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Benny D. Bollinger of Sturdivant announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Brooke Bollinger, to Clifton Kent Verhines Jr., both of Columbia, Mo. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Donnelly of Jackson, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Verhines of Cape Girardeau.
Bollinger is a 1994 graduate of Advance High School. She received a degree in secondary education, social studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1998. She is the ninth grade geography and psychology teacher at Moberly High School in Moberly, Mo.
Verhines is a 1994 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is a second year law student at the University of Missouri School of Law. He is employed at Harper, Evans, Schneider and Netemeyer Law Offices in Columbia.
A June 2 wedding is planned at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Mo.
