BENTON, Mo. -- Mary Beth Beggs and Frederick J. Glastetter announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Gregory Scherer of Benton, and the late Mary Louise Scherer. Glastetter is the son of Ernest and Betty Glastetter of Oran, Mo.

Beggs is a 1978 graduate of Kelly High School. She is employed by the State of Missouri.
