Doughty-Stroder

William and Laura Peffley of Springfield, Ill., and retired Air Force Maj. Ronald Doughty of Pekin, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kari Jeanne Doughty of Jackson, to Timothy Austin Stroder. He is the son of Lonnie and Susan Stroder of Jackson.

Doughty received an associate's degree from Springfield College in Illinois, and a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She is an admissions counselor at Southeast Missouri State University.

Stroder received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Southeast, and expects to receive a master's degree in chemistry from the university in May. He is a graduate assistant at the university and is also employed at Jackson Medical Clinic.

A fall wedding is planned in Jackson.
