Dickey -- Ballance

GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Jim and Judy Dickey of Glenallen announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Dickey, to Alex Ballance, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Joseph Ballance of Harviell, Missouri, and Barbie McFarland of Marble Hill, Missouri.

Jessica graduated from Woodland High School in 2008 and from Southeast Missouri State University in 2012, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in historic preservation. She works for the Cape Girardeau County Recorder of Deeds office.

Alex graduated from Woodland High School in 2009. He works at Domino's Inc.

An Oct. 1 wedding is planned at the home of the groom's grandparents in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
