Deshazier - shands

Jay and Lynn Porter and Robert Deshazier of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn Deshazier, to Joshua Caleb Shands. He is the son of Ronald and Melissa Shands of Glenallen, Mo.

Deshazier is a 2006 graduate of Central High School. She expects to graduate Sept. 25 from the licensed practical nursing program at Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center.

Shands is a 2007 graduate of Woodland High School. He is employed at Ramada Inn in St. Louis.

An Oct. 18 wedding is planned at the Apostolic Promise Church.
