Cowsert-Thrower

Dr. Grace H. Duff of Tamms, Ill., announces the engagement of her daughter, Julia Grace Cowsert, to Tyrone Neal Thrower, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Rose M. Thrower of Jackson, and the late Charles F. Thrower. Cowsert is also the daughter of the late Lawrence E. Duff.

Cowsert received a bachelor of arts degree from Southeast Missouri State University, a master of arts degree from Liberty University, and expects to graduate from the practical nursing program at Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center in September. She is a chaplain at St. Francis Medical Center.

Thrower is a graduate of Central High School. He is employed at Mac-Con Construction in Gordonville.

An Oct. 4 wedding is planned.
