Jeff and Tammy Messmer of Jackson and Robert and Connie Clevenz of Perryville, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Renee Clevenz, to Beau Dean Dunning. He is the son of Jeff and Kristie Dunning of Whitewater.

Ashley is a 2007 graduate of Jackson High School. She received an associate degree in nursing from Southeast Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2014. She is a registered nurse at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau, and a sandwich artist at Subway in Jackson.

Beau is a 2006 graduate of Jackson High School. He is a plastics manufacturer at PolyOne in Cape Girardeau.

An Oct. 4 wedding is planned at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
