Burnett - Newton

BENTON, Mo. -- Robert and Monica Burnett of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Burnett, to Robert Earl Newton. He is the son of Gaylon and Tammy Newton of Benton.

Burnett is a 2007 graduate of Kelly High School. She expects to receive a degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in May 2011. She is employed at Systems Services Inc. in Sikeston, Mo.

Newton is a 2005 graduate of Kelly High School. He is employed at Lowe's in Sikeston, and is a volunteer with NBC Fire/Rescue District.

An outdoor wedding is planned June 12 at the Water's Edge in Gordonville.
