Bleckler-Barker

Russ Bleckler of Park Hills, Mo., and Denise Bleckler of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Marcie Elizabeth Bleckler, to Edward Shawn Barker. He is the son of Edward and Dorothy Barker of Cape Girardeau.

Bleckler is a 2000 graduate of Ste. Genevieve High School. She received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. She is employed at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Barker is a 1993 graduate of Central High School, and a 1995 graduate of the Institute of Electronic Technology in Paducah, Ky. He is a computer network coordinator at Southeast Hospital.

A May 6 wedding is planned at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
