Bittle-O'Brien

Jerry and Carla Bittle of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Tobie Bittle, to Andy O'Brien. He is the son of Mike and Sandy O'Brien of Kansas City, Mo.

Bittle is a 1998 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002, and expects to receive a master's degree in pediatric nurse practitioning from the university in 2005. She is a pediatric registered nurse at University Hospital in Columbia.

O'Brien received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from the university in 2002, and expects to complete his juris doctorate at the university in 2005.

An Aug. 7 wedding is planned at Grace United Methodist Church.
