Birk - Gaines

Ralph and Diane Birk of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Diane Birk, to Bradley Wayne Gaines. He is the son of Kimberly Williams of Cape Girardeau and Johnny and Melissa Gaines of Kelso, Mo.

Birk is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science in health science from Maryville University in St. Louis in 2009, and expects to receive an associate of applied science in physical therapy from St. Louis Community College-Meramec in May. She is an in-patient physical therapy technician at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Gaines is a 2005 graduate of Central High School. He is employed at 1st Tire and Wheel.

A June 11 wedding is planned at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tilsit.
