Bernal-Jackson

Don and JoAnn Chism of Houston, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sherri Lyn Bernal, to Matthew David Jackson. He is the son of David and Kathy Jackson of Cape Girardeau.

Bernal is a graduate of Alief Hastings High School in Houston, and a 1997 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. She is a military intelligence captain in the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Huachuca, Ariz.

Jackson is a graduate of Central High School, and a 1997 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy. He is a computer systems engineer with ISEC in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

A Nov. 2 wedding is planned at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Mount in Ruidoso, N.M.
