Bennett-Vanpool

Deanna Flaherty of Cape Girardeau and Jerry Bennett of Thebes, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Torie Nicole Bennett, to Branden Wayne Vanpool, both of Olive Branch, Ill. He is the son of Fred and Cindy Vetter of Commerce, Mo.

Bennett is a 2003 graduate of Egyptian High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University, and plans to pursue a master's degree in counseling at Southeast Missouri State University this fall.

Vanpool is a 2002 graduate of Scott City High School. He attended Shawnee Community College. He received certification in heating and air conditioning in 2006.

A July 7 wedding is planned at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
