Behnken-Brune

John and June Behnken of Sharpsburg, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Lynn Behnken, to Brian William Brune. He is the son of Greg and Barbara Brune of Cape Girardeau.

Behnken received a bachelor of science degree in interior design from Southeast Missouri State University in 1994, received a master of science degree in public administration from Southeast in 1998, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in higher education administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a building maintenance manager at Southeast University.

Brune received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture business from Southeast in 1999. He is a territorial sales manager with Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. in Marion, Ill.

A Nov. 24 wedding is planned at Centenary United Methodist Church.
