Beck - Martin

Jerry and Jeanette Beck of Chaffee, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Christa Marie Beck, to John Nicholas Martin, both of St. Louis. He is the son of Kris and Emilie Martin of Cape Girardeau.

Christa is a graduate of Chaffee High School. She received a bachelor of science in business finance from Southeast Missouri State University. She is director of campus selection at Northwestern Mutual in St. Louis.

Nicholas is a graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. He received a bachelor of science in construction management from Southeast, and is pursuing a master's in organizational management at the university. He is a senior project manager with SSM Healthcare in St. Louis.

An Oct. 12 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
