Barr - Schippers

Tom and Patty Barr of Kelso, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Shanna Barr, to Jamin Schippers. He is the son of Gene and LaDonna Schippers of Cape Girardeau.

Barr is a 2000 graduate of Scott City High School. She received a degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004, and a graduate degree in elementary administration from William Woods University in 2007. She is a first grade teacher with Woodland School District in Marble Hill, Mo.

Schippers attended Central High School, and then was home schooled. He is a landscaper with Dutch Lawn Care.

An April 6 wedding is planned.
