Barcelos-Corse

Marcos Barcelos and Carmen Barcelos of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laize Ferras Dias Barcelos, to Gary Ray Corse Jr. He is the son of Steve and Kathy Williams of Cape Girardeau.

Barcelos is a 1998 graduate of a high school in Brazil, and is doing graduate work in speech language pathology and audiology at Towson University in Towson, Md.

Corse is a 1998 graduate of Chaffee High School in Chaffee, Mo., and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He expects to receive a degree in marketing from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2006. He is employed by Verizon.

A July 29, 2006, wedding is planned in Towson.
