Babcock -- Beussink

Dr. David and Laura Babcock of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha C. Babcock, to Alex J. Beussink. He is the son of John and Lisa Beussink of Jackson.

Samantha is a 2012 graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School. She received a bachelor's degree in organismal/ecological/evolutionary biology from Southeast Missouri State University and will receive a Master of Natural Science in microbiology from the university in May.

Alex is a 2011 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School and will receive a Bachelor of General Studies in May from Southeast Missouri State University.

A July 1 wedding is planned at Old St. Vincent Church in Cape Girardeau.
