Altenthal-Winkler

Brad and Karen Altenthal of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Nichole Altenthal, to Christopher Lee Winkler. He is the son of Hubert and Cornelia Winkler of Perryville, Mo.

Altenthal is a graduate of Central High School, and is majoring in elementary education at Southeast Missouri State University. She is a secretary at Ferrell Mobile Homes.

Winkler is a graduate of St. Vincent's High School in Perryville. He received a degree in physical education from Southeast University and a master's degree in administration from William Woods University. He is a teacher and coach at Nell Holcomb R-IV Elementary School.

A Sept. 21 wedding is planned at Maple United Methodist Church.
