Allsop - Banaskavich

Betty Allsop of Cape Girardeau announces the engagement of her daughter, Chelsey Elaine Allsop, to Jason Michael Banaskavich. He is the son of Michael and Claire Banaskavich of Manchester, Mo.

Allsop is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in mass communication from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005, and expects to receive a master of arts degree in nonprofit management from Washington University in St. Louis in the spring. She is employed at Washington University School of Medicine.

Banaskavich is a 1999 graduate of Parkway South High School in St. Louis. He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2003, and a master of science degree in aerospace engineering from Washington University in 2007. He is a strength engineer with Boeing Co.

A March 7, 2009, wedding is planned in St. Charles, Mo.
