Gwenn Ivester, 21, was northbound in a 1993 Chevrolet when she failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway and struck a dirt embankment.
Ivester and her passenger, Shane Mungle, 22, of Sedgewickville, Mo., received moderate injuries and were taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital.
