AQUILLA, Mo. -- Two members of the same family from Marble Hill, Mo., were among three people seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a Stoddard County collision. Driver Kenneth Hicks, 16, and passenger Cynthia Hicks, 44, both were taken to St. Francis Medical Center after the 5:50 p.m. crash on Highway 25, one-quarter mile north of Aquilla. Joseph Moore, 73, of Bloomfield, Mo., was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries...

Driver Kenneth Hicks, 16, and passenger Cynthia Hicks, 44, both were taken to St. Francis Medical Center after the 5:50 p.m. crash on Highway 25, one-quarter mile north of Aquilla. Joseph Moore, 73, of Bloomfield, Mo., was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Moore's vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the vehicle driven by Kenneth Hicks head-on.

The Hicks vehicle then went down a steep embankment.
