The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI Victor W. Powell, 22, of Scott City was arrested Dec. 29 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, failure to register motor vehicle, displaying the plates of another vehicle and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Arrests Dwayne P. Bowden, 21, of St. Louis was arrested Dec. 29 on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for tampering with evidence.

Sylvia D. Brown, 43, of Jackson was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of assault.

Mark F. Rigdon, 44, of Jackson was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of assault.

Keiven Cole, 17, of Cape Girardeau was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of driving with no insurance, displaying the plates of another vehicle and driving without a valid license.

TransportsThe following persons were taken Dec. 27 to the Department of Corrections.

Naomi H. Johnson, 40, of Cape Girardeau, to serve seven years for possession of a controlled substance.

Jacquelyn G. Woods, 43, of Jackson, to serve seven years for passing bad checks, sale of a controlled substance and forgery.

Francis W. Arnold, 43, of Qulin, Mo., to serve four years for stealing anhydrous ammonia.

Jeremy B. Aden, 23, of Cape Girardeau, to serve four years for burglary and stealing.
