The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* William C. Faries, 41, of 1818 S. Sprigg St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court for revoked license.

* Willie Higgs, 32, of 220 N. Park St., was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.

* Two boys, 14 and 16, were cited into juvenile court for peace disturbance by fighting.

* Joseph M. Class III, 34, of 505 N. Broadview St. Apt. 104, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for child neglect.

* Lance D. Sterling, 20, of 1127 S. Ellis St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation.

* Carl R. Cartwright, 33, of 336 N. Sprigg St., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for passing a bad check and on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear for resisting arrest.

* Lonnie R. Chamberlain, 23, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for absconding parole and on a Sikeston warrant for contempt of court for failure to pay fines.

* Arthur A. Smith Jr., 19, of 612 Emerald St., was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for probation violation for possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear for property damage.

* Property damage was reported at Fountain Street and Park Avenue. Colin M. Taplin, no age or address given, was arrested in connection with the complaint.

* A subject was taken into custody, pending filing of formal charges on stealing, possession of a controlled substance, driving while revoked and operating a motor vehicle with expired plates.

Thefts

* J.C. Penney, 200 West Park Mall, reported stealing. Jacob D. McIntosh, 17, of 1400 S. West End Blvd., Apt. 93, was arrested in connection with the complaint.

* Theft was reported at 100 West Park Mall. Tommy L. Wells, 28, of Irving, Texas, was arrested in connection with the complaint.

* Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive, reported stealing. Jessica R. Wages, 19, of 6254 Highway 61, Jackson, was arrested and a 16-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court in connection with the complaint.

Property damage

* A vehicle was reported damaged at 2820 Themis St.

* A vehicle door and fender were reported damaged at 3049 William St.

Miscellaneous

* A person was reported missing.

* A blue 21-speed bicycle was reported found in the unit block of North Main Street.

* A 41-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

* Contributing to the delinquency of a minor was reported.

* A reportedly stolen 2002 Ford Explorer was recovered at Highway 74 and Sprigg Street.

* Property was reported found on two separate incidents.

* A reportedly stolen blue Ford Winstar van was recovered at 517 S. Benton St.

* Unlawful use of a weapon was reported.

Jackson

The following items were released by the Jackson Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Thefts

* Theft was reported in the 500 block of Michael Anna Street.

* Theft was reported in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Property damage

* Property damage was reported in the 800 block of Odus Drive.

* Property damage was reported in the 700 block of Bainbridge Road.

Cape Girardeau County

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Aaron M. Baxter, 42, of Springfield, Mo., was arrested on a Greene County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

* Charlie W. Winchester, 47, of Jackson, was arrested on a Bollinger County warrant for failure to appear for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Darrel W. Burnett, 48, of Dutchtown, Mo., was arrested on a Stoddard County warrant for failure to appear for five counts of insufficient funds.

* Rae A. Kirkpatrick, 28, of Whitewater, Mo., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for stealing.

* Dorislyn T. Gaines, 35, of Cape Girardeau, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for forgery.

* Abraham R. Lamecha, 27, of Cape Girardeau, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for passing a bad check.

* Doyle G. Hutton, 61, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Mississippi County warrant for stealing.

* Brian N. Hartis, 37, of Dutchtown, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

* Anthony T. Sample, 28, of Cape Girardeau, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for stealing.
