Arrests
* Leon Ballentine, 52, of Tamms, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of forgery.
* Subjects were taken into custody, pending filing of formal charges on check kiting.
* Sebastian T. Thomas, 23, of 1817 N. Main St., was arrested on a Bollinger County warrant for probation violation.
* Glenn A. Helms Jr., 33, of New Madrid, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation.
* A subject was taken into custody, pending filing of formal charges on possession of a counterfeit check, possession of an unlawful weapon and possession of a laptop with a defaced serial number.
* Bryce L. Willen, 18, of 2431 Horseshoe Ridge, was arrested on suspicion of possession of alcohol by a minor and misreprestentation of age.
* Clayton R. LeGrand, 19, of Laurel Lane, was arrested on suspicion of possession of alcohol by a minor.
* Corde A. Boyd, 18, of McClure, Ill., was arrested on four Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for property damage, failure to appear for placing objects in the street, failure to appear for improper registration and failure to appear for no operator's license.
* Stewart W. Hancock, 45, of Wanatchee, Wa., was arrested on a Washington probation and parole warrant for escape.
Summons
* Traci A. Palmer, 39, of 415 S. Sprigg St., was issued a summons for failure to maintain property.
Thefts
* Wood & Huston, 111 S. Broadview, reported check forgery.
* A purse was reported stolen at 3261 William St.
* A purse was reported stolen and property damaged at 3261 William St.
* A purse was reported stolen and property damaged at 3261 William St.
* Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported gasoline stolen.
* A bass fiddle bow with case was reported stolen at 1820 Scotts Lane.
* K's Merchandise, 371 S. Broadview, reported check forgery.
* A SIM card from a cell phone was reported stolen at 1705 Bel Air Drive.
* A purse and contents were reported stolen at 3261 William St.
* Money was reported stolen in the 3000 block of Themis Street.
* Two separate incidents of identity theft were reported.
* Baptist Student Union, 917 Bellevue St., reported at 4-by-8-foot vinyl sign stolen.
* A brown purse, cash and miscellaneous identification were reported stolen at 224 S. Lorimier St.
* Columbia Construction, 478 Siemers Drive, reported treated lumber stolen.
* Commerce Bank checks were reported stolen at 903 Bellevue St.
* Wal-Mart, 3439 William St., reported earrings, digital camera, baseball cap and artificial fingernails stolen. Suzanne D. Lawson, 30, and Jason W. McPhail, 26, both of Portageville, Mo., were arrested in connection with the complaint.
* Rhodes 101, 2109 William St., reported gasoline stolen.
Property damage
* McClane Investment, 205 S. Broadview St., reported property damage.
* A vehicle window was reported damaged at 1307 N. Spanish St.
Miscellaneous
* Two separate incidents of fraudulent use of a credit device were reported.
* Violation of order of protection was reported.
* A 35-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
* Driving while revoked, property damage and domestic assault were reported.
* A 47-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
* A 25-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
Jackson
The following items were released by the Jackson Police Department.
Burglary
* Burglary was reported in the 2400 block of Old Toll Road.
Thefts
* Theft was reported in the 3000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
* Fuel was reported stolen in the 3000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
* Theft was reported stolen in the 200 block of East Main Street.
* A guitar and amp were reported stolen in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
Property damage
* Property damage was reported in the 700 block of Oak Street.
Miscellaneous
* Child abuse was reported in the 1600 block of West Independence Street.
* Child abuse was reported in the 300 block of North Shawnee Boulevard.
* Fraud was reported in the 2000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
* Ex parte violation was reported on East Jackson Boulevard.
* A juvenile was reported as a runaway in the 300 block of North High Street.
* Forgery was reported in the 3000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
* Harassement was reported in the 200 blockof West Jefferson Street.
* Ex parte violation was reported in the 400 block of East Lane.
* Ex parte violation was reported in the 1400 block of Highland Drive.
* Fraud was reported in the 2000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
* A runaway was reported in the 1300 block of Belair Drive.

* Louquisha E. Heartfield, 33, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for making a false report.
* Travis P. Martin, 33, of Williford, Ark., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for domestic assault.
