• Theft was reported on Bloomfield Street.

• Theft was reported on Elm Street.

• Shoplifting was reported on Independence Street.

• Theft of a motor vehicle/watercraft/aircraft was reported on South Kingshighway.

• Shoplifting was reported on William Street.

• Shoplifting was reported on William Street.

• Theft of motor vehicle/watercraft/aircraft was reported on North Sprigg Street.

• Theft of a motor vehicle/watercraft/aircraft, first-degree property damage and theft of motor vehicle parts/accessories were reported on Emily Court.

Miscellaneous

• Leaving the scene of an accident was reported on South Silver Springs Road.

• Leaving the scene of an accident was reported on William Street.

• Resisting/interfering with arrest, detention or stop, unlawful possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance were reported on Elm Street.

Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Aaron D. Rinehart, 23, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, third-degree assault of a special victim, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree assault of a special victim and two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

• Jeramic A. Chantala, 21, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for failure to register motor vehicle.

• Dominique N. Barnhill, 35, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of resisting/interfering with arrest and driving while revoked/suspended.

• Gage W. Bowers, 33, of Whitewater was arrested on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault and resisting/interfering with arrest.

• Desjaun D. Huntt, 28, of McClure, Illinois, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for failure to register motor vehicle, exceeding the speed limit and own/operate motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility.

• Jakeveen M. Jackson, 19, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for two counts of tampering with property.

• Lindsey M. Moore, 35, of Cape Giardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for failure to register motor vehicle.

• Misty D. Howard, 52, of Burfordville was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

• Christopher J. Scherer, 38, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

• Douglas L. Williams, 40, of Jackson was arrested on an Ellis County, Oklahoma, warrant for cruelty to animals and malicious injury to property.

• Anna M. Pickett, 37, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

• Adam J. Crigger, 47, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation for driving while revoked/suspended.

• Bobby G. Griffin, 50, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of failure to register as a sex offender,
