The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWIs

  • Cory D. Silvers, 26, of 1821 Greensferry Road, Jackson, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
  • Berry D. Murphy, 59, of Bernie, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain traffic lanes.
  • Michael D. Penrod, 22, of 186 Lagoon Ave., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and a stop sign violation.

Arrests

  • William T. Tipton, 49, of 2705 Plymouth Drive, was arrested on suspicion of posession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Tameka D. Watts, 19, of Charleston, Mo., was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fines for striking a stopped vehicle and no proof of insurance.
  • Melissa A. Morton, 25, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of theft.
  • Gregory G. Jones, 26, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of theft.
  • Christy M. Wolfmeier, 27, of East Carondelet, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of theft.

Assaults

  • A domestic assault, burglary, theft and property damage were reported.
  • A domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

  • A stereo, DVD player with remote and DVDs were reported stolen in a burglary at 345 N. Park St.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • A wallet and contents were reported stolen at 232 Shirley Drive.
  • Jasper's, 10 S. West End Blvd., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Kidds, 103 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft.
  • Macy's, 100 West Park Mall, reported a theft of clothes.
  • A CD player and wallet were reported stolen at Mill and Main streets.
  • A 1989 gray Dodge Ram was reported stolen at 1942 Delwin St.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • AT&T, 2200 Themis St., reported a theft of copper wire and damaged locks.
  • Coca-Cola, 1225 S. Kingshighway, reported a theft of cash and sodas and damage to a soda machine.

Property damage

  • A windshield was reported damaged at 2842 Independence St.
  • Exit Realty, 121 N. Middle St., reported a plate glass window broken.
  • Chap Arnold Insurance Agency, 875 N. Kingshighway, reported a window broken.
  • Danielle, 1330 N. Kingshighway, reported broken windows.
  • A door was reported damaged at 3035 Themis St.
  • Property damage and phone harassment were reported.

Miscellaneous

  • Failure to maintain property free of weeds was reported.
  • Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported.
  • A 50-year-old woman was placed in protective custody.
  • A peace disturbance was reported.
  • Harassment by telephone was reported.
  • A 46-year-old woman was placed in protective custody.
  • Protective custody and obstruction of traffic were reported.
